Overview

HVAC systems engineer to be responsible for ensuring the quality of the HVAC equipment manufactured.

Our client is an industry leader in the manufacturing of high efficiency data center cooling solutions, clean rooms, custom HVAC systems, and modular solutions. Currently we seek a HVAC systems engineer to be responsible for ensuring the quality of the HVAC equipment manufactured. The systems engineer will work with all the different engineering groups to coordinate the proper selection of HVAC control devices and sensors to ensure the equipment operates as requested by the customer. The HVAC Systems Engineer will work to create system standards that will provide guidance to other engineering groups for the basis of equipment design.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Controls, Electrical and Sales Engineering departments to define project specific settings which includes defining refrigeration controls configuration, VFD parameters and PLC default settings.
  • Work with controls engineers to define, develop program standards and default templates.
  • Perform systems QC and evaluation for proper selection and placement of sensors and integrated components.
  • Provide high-level technical support to determine the cause and resolution of equipment faults and service-related issues.
  • Work with the entire BASX team to perform continuous improvement on system design, construction, and component use.
  • Work directly with customers to provide advanced system support after product installation. This includes but is not limited to program tuning, refrigeration systems optimization and potential SOO modification for changing design conditions.
  • Travel is part of the job duties, but not estimated to be over 20% annually

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS (MS preferred) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Advanced understanding of HVAC equipment, operation, installation, and servicing.
  • In depth understanding of current and future HVAC systems components, operations, and optimization
  • Any AutoCAD platform experience
  • National Electrical Code, UL508A and NFPA standards
  • Programming experience in one form of DDC/PLC programming languages.
  • Training will be provided for product lines used within the Company
  • Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbally and in written.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and overall computer skills.
  • Able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Able to work well with very little directive, carry out assignments and prioritize issues.
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills; Time management skills; Detail oriented; Highly motivated.
