Our client is a consulting engineering firm providing single-source MEPR (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and refrigeration) engineering analysis and design for both new construction and existing building remodels. In addition, they offer building performance modeling, energy simulations and feasibility studies for sustainable and energy-efficient facility energy systems.  To support their rapid growth, we seek a well-qualified MEP Revit / AutoCAD Technician to join the Team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce new drawings and revise existing drawings and models using the most cost-effective methods available for commercial building projects in the four disciplines of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and refrigeration
• Successful candidates will be expected to check her/his own work for accuracy and detail
• Candidate is expected to follow and learn from reading MEP procedures and standards and applying these procedures and standards
• Candidate shall be expected to work directly with engineering teams and take direction from engineers to generate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit software
• Successful candidates will maintain working knowledge of their industry, and apply industry specific drafting codes and standards, following functional specifications of the designs assigned to them

REQUIREMENTS

• Associates degree in drafting/design/engineering technology or equivalent job-related experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic drafting techniques
• Demonstrated proficiency in Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc), Revit, and AutoCAD
• Ability to learn and perform standard computer & software functions in accordance with engineering drafting standards
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work closely in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates shall have flexible schedule based on office workload
