HVAC Engineered Sales Representative sought for a very well-established HVAC manufacturer’s representative of leading brands for engineered solutions to meet application and specification needs offering high-quality equipment and filtration products. By packaging products with professionalism in the areas of sales and service, they provide exceptional support unparalleled to that of other independent sales agencies.

The HVAC Engineered Sales Representative marketplace focus is Chicagoland, Central Illinois and Northwest Indiana working with Mechanical & Ventilation Contractors, Mechanical Engineering Firms, Design Build Contractors, Construction Managers, Service Contractors, Building Managers, and Involved Owners.

Responsibilities

  • Builds strong relationships with assigned engineering accounts
  • Provides technical assistance and product information to customers
  • Assists with project design and related equipment selections
  • Assists with project specification and schedule development
  • Conducts or facilitates educational lunch and learns
  • Introduces new products into the market
  • Provides internal coordination for select projects during the bid phase
  • Provides support for project submittal approvals
  • An advocate & catalyst for manufacture customer factory visits
  • Maintains and enhances professional and technical knowledge
  • Maintains and enhances relationships with key suppliers

Education, Skills, Qualifications

  • Four-year engineering degree; equivalent direct industry experience in combination with an alternate degree considered
  • Excellent sales and inter-personnel skills with a consultative sales approach plus a high-level of ego drive, assertiveness, empathy and resilience
  • Very technically competent on HVAC systems and products – A “go to” expert
  • Organized and motivated self-starter; works well independently with minimal direction
  • Dedicated to servicing customers and providing support for other firm employees
  • Little to no overnight travel

Required Experience

  • 5+ years sales experience HVAC or related field
