HVAC Project Sales Engineer

Our client has been providing Central Wisconsin and surrounding communities with refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, and electrical service for more than 40 years – both residential and commercial customers. Currently we seek a Project Manager / Sales Engineer fully capable of bidding and estimating commercial projects of both design/build and plan & spec work.  The right candidate will be well-qualified to work with design/build customers designing and engineering HVAC and control system solutions incorporating efficiency, serviceability and initial costs.


  • Preparing mechanical engineering design calculations and plans to code.
  • Performing engineering analysis of various options, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and overall system layouts.
  • Providing detailed engineering reports including design narratives, building conditions, engineering analysis of options and recommendations
  • Creating mechanical specifications and select equipment to best suit the application
  • Developing preliminary plans and cost estimates
  • Developing system drawings and specifications for installation by our crews
  • Purchasing equipment and material to meet the project schedule
  • Coordinating and overseeing the project to completion

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred minimum 3 years of experience in estimating and/or designing HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of HVAC design principles
  • Knowledge of HVAC building codes preferred
  • Computer experience with load calculation software preferred
  • PE or EIT working toward achieving your PE is a plus
  • HVAC designers license or desire to get licensed
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with Revit / BIM experience being preferred
