Overview

The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining the existing core territory from San Francisco to Seattle and perhaps as far west as Denver.  The right candidate will be well-qualified to generate new business from residential wholesale distributors / commercial wholesale distributors / manufacturers’ rep. You should plan to spend about one-third of your sales time with each of these groups.

Our client’s innovative vent systems, air intake systems and accessories are field proven over the past 20 years.  Maintaining a cumulative average growth rate in excess of 20% for the past 8 years, their proprietary brand of flue gas vent systems is the preferred vent system for condensing heating appliances including furnaces, boilers, and water heaters.  They are committed to developing and manufacturing sustainable products for the plumbing, heating, and building products markets worldwide. 

Job Description:

The individual will join our Sales Team reporting to our North American Sales Manager. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining the existing core territory from San Francisco to Seattle and perhaps as far west as Denver.  The right candidate will be well-qualified to generate new business from residential wholesale distributors / commercial wholesale distributors / manufacturers’ rep. You should plan to spend about one-third of your sales time with each of these groups.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain lasting industry relationships with independent sales representatives, wholesale distributors, contractors, and prospective new clients.
  • Develop and execute an annual business plan including opportunity mapping, sales goals, and forecasts.
  • Create, implement, and manage promotional plans including training seminars, regional trade shows, and wholesale distributor visits.
  • Drive product adoption through product training, specification generation, quoting, and building code changes.
  • Develop a Master Specification Plan and influence market growth.
  • Significant travel (up to 75%) is required

Experience and Requirements:

  • Business degree in marketing or engineering preferred; Equivalent work experience considered
  • Minimum of 10 years of mechanical / plumbing / HVAC industry related experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Organized and detailed oriented
  • Ability to operate in both a small business and corporate environment, including meeting corporate reporting deadlines
  • A valid passport & ability to travel
  • CRM experience with Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.com (or other) required
