A leading residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services company in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and grow a high-volume home services operation.
This established organization has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services to homeowners nationwide. The Austin location requires a strategic business leader with proven Profit & Loss (P&L) management experience and a track record of driving revenue growth in the residential services sector.
The General Manager will oversee sales, operations, customer satisfaction, and financial performance while developing leadership teams and scaling the business.
The General Manager is responsible for full operational and financial oversight of a residential home services business, including:
Managing Profit and Loss (P&L) performance
Leading HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service departments
Driving revenue growth and margin improvement
Developing sales strategy and operational efficiency
Hiring, training, and developing department managers
Managing customer satisfaction and service quality
Overseeing safety compliance and industry regulations
Leading change management and business expansion initiatives
This role requires both operational leadership and strategic planning expertise.
The General Manager in Austin, TX will:
Create and implement strategic growth plans aligned with company objectives
Lead managers across sales, service, and operations
Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive profitability
Optimize workforce utilization and service capacity
Address customer escalations and protect brand reputation
Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting and forecasting
Maintain compliance with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical regulations
Guide the organization through growth and process improvements
Foster a high-performance, team-oriented culture
5+ years of leadership experience managing diverse teams
Minimum 3 years of P&L responsibility in a similar role
Experience in residential home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
Proven success driving B2C revenue growth
Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Experience overseeing service operations and customer satisfaction
Demonstrated ability to lead through growth and change
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Data-driven decision-making ability
Direct experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems
Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance
Experience with ServiceTitan (highly preferred)
Experience with CRM software systems
