Key Responsibilities – HVAC & Mechanical Sales

As an HVAC Sales Representative, you will:

  • Promote manufacturer-represented HVAC and mechanical equipment product lines

  • Drive equipment specifications with consulting engineers

  • Develop relationships with building owners, owner’s representatives, and contractors

  • Call on consulting engineering firms to support project specifications

  • Present new products and technical advancements

  • Conduct Lunch & Learn presentations

  • Provide technical guidance on mechanical system solutions

  • Support the HVAC bidding process and project development lifecycle

  • Position the company as the preferred supplier for venting and mechanical systems


Products Represented

Experience with the following mechanical equipment is highly preferred:

  • Condensing Water Boilers

  • Steam Boilers

  • Pumps

  • Heat Exchangers (HX)

  • Generator Exhaust Systems

  • Boiler Exhaust Flue Systems

  • Exhaust Fans

  • Venting Systems


Qualifications for Success

To succeed in this HVAC Sales role, candidates should have:

  • 10+ years of HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical equipment sales/estimating experience

  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and written specifications

  • Experience working with consulting engineers and project influencers

  • Knowledge of the HVAC bidding process

  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF software

  • Basic AutoCAD knowledge (preferred)

  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant experience considered)
