Our client seeks a Territory Sales Engineer for Valve Products in the Mid-Atlantic.  They have been for one of the leading manufacturers of valves and controls for the building services industry for more than 150 years. As a Territory Sales Engineer you will call on contractors, distributors and consulting engineers.  Their successful Territory Sales Engineer – Valve Products – Chicago are out on the road every day meeting with valued customers, visiting job sites and building relationships with customers.  The focus is MD, DC and VA and in this particular territory the primary goal is to get specified with consulting engineers.

Major Keys for Successful Candidacy

  • Proven ability to develop hydronic balancing sales opportunities in the HVAC market by calling on wholesalers, facility owners, engineers, and mechanical contracting companies.
  • Focus on engineering integrity and energy savings realized through proper hydronic balancing of heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Develop a complete understanding of products and solutions.
  • Manage a balanced system of distribution channels.
  • Help influence decision-makers at all levels to maximize sales potential.

Qualifications – education, experience, personal attributes:

  • College graduate strongly preferred; previous industry sales experience is a plus!
  • Previous sales experience–preferably related to the commercial construction industry or mechanical products.
  • Self-motivated, confident plus strong written and verbal communication skills along with an impressive professional image.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the region to be successful.

Compensation package consists of a competitive base salary, incentive compensation plan, paid benefit and retirement plans; car allowance plus a gas card; approved entertainment expenses.
